Cheeky: Love It! Magazine In GaGa Bum Jibe

Strictly for laughs, Laydee GooGoo decided to sing and perform to some of the most popular parodies of Lady GaGa’s Pokerface. We picked JokerFace by Brittani Taylor and Lady GaGa parody ‘OuterSpace’ by space cadet, Venetian Princess, who apparently runs YouTube as hostess with the mostess???!!! Using a green screen from her living room, she works on a cash for parodies basis through profit sharing with YouTube! Wikipedia ‘acknowledge’ her as an ‘internet personality’ – Laydee GooGoo must be a bona fide celebrity then! Incidentally, we like ‘Butterface’ by Lady Gag, but it was just too crude for us to sing in clean company.

Meanwhile, ‘Love It!’ magazine published a picture of Lady GaGa’s sagging, cellulite hugging, barnacle encrusted bum, which we have here as proof (above). They can’t believe she’s only 23 apparently! Oink, Oink! Anyway, back to the ‘real’ real deal (below)!

Laydee GooGoo took another outing as Lady Garrote, in producing the Netta Fornario video based on Lady GaGa’s song Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say). I don’t know why GaGa’s somewhat inane, flavour of the moment songs fit so well into Occultism and the darkness such as Lady Garrote’s Clear Cut Hypnosis film about Jack the Ripper and Countess Bathory, and now The Golden Dawn’s film about Netta Fornario, but she does and they do. Come on, GaGa’s probably a Satanist really (and some would say why not?) but for all her innocent guile she comes over as evil, so maybe she’s not Satanic, just worldly and greedy, but GaGa’s as big a puppet as Kermit, the frog outfit she wore to shock Germany. Maybe she’s mentioned in Mein Kampf?

Laydee GooGoo aquired this Pudsey Bear watch back in 2008. We were going to use it in our spoof videos earlier this year, as a copy of the plastic yellow watch that appears in Lady GaGa’s ‘LoveGame’ and ‘Eh, Eh, Nothing Else I Can Say’ videos. However, Pudsey being an injured bear, we thought this was a bit crass so the Pudsey bear watch was left out of our videos. However we were obviously on the same wave length as Lady GaGa’s dressers as she appeared in London recently out with a Pudsey Bear.

The writer saw an article in ‘Pick Me Up’ magazine today whilst browsing in a shop, about ‘Pretenders’ – people who pretend to be disabled for kicks or attention, going so far as to wear leg braces and such, a bit like Lady GaGa in her version of ‘Paparazzi’. I have to say that I think many disabled people will find that particular video extremely crass and distateful and not artistic and that sexualizing disability for kinky kicks, is, without exception very bad taste and hardly art.

Beautiful, Dirty, Rich: Hockney, Warhol, Art And Music

We did a bit of our own art and music, to carry on the GooGoo-esq theme.

Truth is, doing GooGoo is fun because it is using someone else’s ideas for a change. We do write and produce our own music, art, writing and ideas, but were so sick of our ideas being pinched that we decided to be copycats ourselves instead. Being a copycat is not half as good or as satisfying as doing your own things, but its no fun having all your original ideas stolen either.

You end up either not doing anything at all, keeping all your work at home in a folder, unseen, or putting your ideas out to be pinched time and time again. I’m not actually talking internet, particularly. We did a couple of art exhibitions locally and then other artists copied our stuff in later exhibitions of theirs. Then we put up a magazine exhibition in the same place and another local magazine pinched our ideas and layout. They obviously had no ideas of their own at all.

Rather than keeping giving away all our ideas we decided to become copycats ourselves, but in a fun, nice way, hence the birth of Laydee Googoo. We can be artistic without losing our integrity.

Laydee GooGoo stars in the brand new video Paparazzi (Stalkerface), released on the 25th May 2009, along with Lady Candlelight and Lady Tickseed. The video retains an air of creepiness, as does all Laydee GooGoo work and has quite a haunting quality. A lot of hard work and effort went in to the video and there were tears as well as laughter along the way. However we are very pleased with the end result and feel that Laydee GooGoo has produced a good quality, sensitive video which at the same time makes a strident point about just how many times we are all watched in an average day.

The society of Dew and Light were a very mysterious group that began in Keighley, West Yorkshire, around the time of the heyday of the Golden Dawn. The Golden Dawn had a famous temple in Bradford, West Yorkshire, the Horus Temple (No. 5) run by Mr Thomas Pattinson, a jeweller and watchmaker, who was also a Theosophist. The Society of Dew and Light produced the original Lamp of Thoth magazine, the name later being used by another concern. All these things are very Esoteric.

Lady GaGa isn’t the first artist to use eye cover. Adam and the Ants were well in to this sort of thing in the early 80′s and the members of the Hermetic Society of the Golden Dawn, which ran the Horus Temple in Bradford, West Yorkshire from late 1888, often wore eye masks to disguise themselves. The band Kiss also used extensive face paint to disguise one identity and give themselves another.

There are lots of parody videos of ‘Pokerface’ on YouTube. ‘Jokerface’, ‘Boogerface’, etc. spring to mind, but the best of all is ‘Butterface’ by Lady Gag. Wearing a blonde wig and dancing with several of his friends, these guys have put together a very funny piece. There is also a wrestler-styled, body builder character in a tinsel wig climbing out of a bathtub, but he’s a bit of a show off. He has his family in the video.

Lady GaGa apparently annoys a number of people who can’t wait to let the world know this. The ‘Jokerface’ performer is either, a) looking for work, or b) showing her claws and the green eyes of jealousy. I haven’t seen any UK take-offs of Lady GaGa as yet but I am sure many tribute acts will spring up from this persona, male and female alike. Certainly men seem to like to do GaGa.

Personally, I prefer the older internet pictures of her when she had dark hair or at least wore a dark wig. My reckoning is that when everyone is well and truly hooked, the wigs will change in either style or colour and the GaGa money machine will look different again.

Looking at her entourage, her female dancers never have any identity and in ‘Beautiful, Dirty, Rich’, have their eyes blacked-out with fake specs thus making them unrecognisable. We then have the slightly wet bloke who pretends to mix the tracks and who in the German Dome 49 video looks like he needs a course of antidepressants or a bottle of whiskey – maybe he wants to do a take-off himself! So how do these co-performers feel as people? In one sense they are failures because although they have good dancing ability they have no identity at all. All very interesting as it appears that in reality Lady GaGa has a very deep, croaky singing voice outside away from the studio which sounds nothing like her supposed studio recordings so does someone else sing the tracks, I wonder?

It is obvious that Scandinavia, Germany and the UK are popular pushing places outside the US. Is GaGa popular in South America, or indeed will she be the next Princess Elizabet of Sarawak, aka Princess Pearl, who was married to one of my all time favourites, the ragtime revivalist and dance band leader, Harry Roy.

I think YouTube makes money by plugging certain videos in return for cash and that the listening figures and ratings are predetermined. Anyway, at the Haus of GooGoo we perform for fun – fun and fancy to please Aunt Nancy! What more can I say?
